After five years of interdisciplinary research, the Helmholtz Alliance ENERGY-TRANS will finish the project work in 2016. The energy transition in Germany and the related challenges for the transformation of the national and European energy system has been at the heart of research at the Helmholtz Alliance ENERGY-TRANS. The novel perspective of ENERGY-TRANS was to consider the energy system mainly from the societal demand and user side and to analyse the various interfaces between technical, economic and social factors that determine the process of transition towards new infrastructures. The results are expected to provide action-oriented knowledge for an efficient and socially compatible development of the future energy system.
At this final conference, the key findings of the five-year research programme ENERGY-TRANS will be presented and discussed with international experts.
Target group of the first day (March 14th), is science and its representatives.
The following day (March 15th, 2016), specific policy recommendations of ENERGY-TRANS will be presented and discussed with German decision makers. This event will be conducted in German language only.
